    Rose Yates
Rose Yates has been chair of the GNBCHC board since 1987.
A ceremony was held recently to dedicate the Rose M. Yates Boardroom. Rose Yates has been the Chair of the GNBCHC Board since 1987. The Rose M. Yates Boardroom was built as part of the Health Center's ongoing construction project, which will relocate administration space to make room for the expansion of the Pediatrics, WIC, and Maternal Child Health Departments.
  2. The GNBCHC Pediatrics Department is scheduled to be completed in December 2005, and will be dedicated as The George Karousos Pediatric Center, after chairman of the Greater New Bedford Community Health Foundation (GNBCHF). Master Chef George Karousos has been instrumental in starting the Greater New Bedford Community Health Foundation, raising funds for the Pediatric construction and its signature fundraising event, the Doctors' Cook-Off. He is the owner of The International Institute of Culinary Arts, the Sea Fare Inn in Portsmouth, RI, the Blue Plate Diner in Middletown, RI, the Abbey Grill in Fall River, and Giorgio's Steak House in Fall River.

The GNBCHC Board meets in the newly dedicated Rose M. Yates Board Room."
The Health Center is currently accepting donations to help equip the new Pediatric facility, which needs medical exam tables, scales, equipment, medical supplies, and other necessary materials for the operation of a modern medical facility. Please call 508-992-6553 or visit our How You Can Help page to make a donation.
  3. The Frederick M. Kalisz, Jr. Building will be dedicated in January 2006, and will house the Health Centers new full-service pharmacy, lab, x-ray, and other ancillaries. This new building is being constructed between the current Health Center building and the Dental facility, and is the final stage in connecting the two buildings.

The Capital Campaign continues to raise funds to expand and maintain Health Center facilities. This will allow an increase in pediatric, adult medicine, and dental visits, enable the relocation of the Pediatrics Department with WIC, and will allow for separate well and sick pediatric waiting rooms.
