Our Pediatric Department was started in 1981. At that time it was staffed by one doctor and one registered nurse. Today, Pediatrics consists of six doctors, four nurses, three medical assistants, a Unit Coordinator, and a Referral Coordinator.

Dr. Nancy Langhans has been a pediatrician for 15 years. She
also is a specialist in Pediatric Gastroenterology. She practiced as a pediatric gastroenterologist at
New England Medical Center for eight years prior to joining our staff in 1997.

Dr. Kevin Badolato earned an MPH degree in Child Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD. He received his medical degree from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Medicine and Dentristry of New Jersey in New Brunswick, NJ. |

Dr. Vivian Esswein has been practicing pediatric medicine for 26 years and is also a specialist in emergency medicine. She has been with the Health Center since 1993. She works both in Pediatrics and with our teen population during our Teen Clinic. |

Dr. Nancy Elbasty earned her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. She completed her residency at Tufts Medical Center and specializes in Pediatrics. |

Dr. Vaibhav Goyal earned his medical degree from the Seth G. S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial-VII Hospital in Bombay, India. He completed his Pediatric Residency at the Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. Other clinical experience includes a Research Fellow in the Department of Medical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, India. |

Dr. Ruth Prophete received her medical degree from MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her residency at the Floating Hospital for Children at the New England Medical Center in Boston. |

Our Medical Assistants
Emily Cruz, Cheryl Medena, and
Anna Loaiza are responsible for keeping the physicians on schedule. They bring patients from the waiting room and obtain initial information in preparation of the child's visit with the doctor.
Our Coordinators:Kerry Chavez our Referral Coordinator, and
Debbie Clermont, Unit Coordinator, schedule patient appointments in our clinic. They are also responsible for obtaining referrals in order to make appointments to providers outside of the
Health Center.
