Greater New Bedford Community Health Center sponsoring a Heart Care Awareness Fair

NEW BEDFORD, MA -- A Heart Care Awareness Fair is being hosted by the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center on Saturday, February 27 at its Wellness Connection. Staff members from the Health will be offering free Health Screenings, CO Checks, and Information Packets for Cardiac Arrest Warning Signs. Trainers from liteweights-Fitness will also be on hand. The Southcoast Van will be conducting a blood drive outside the Wellness Connection. Attendees will be able to bring their medications for a one on one review with a pharmacist from Walgreens. The Benefits Department of the Health Center and insurance representatives will provide information to attendees. The Health Center encourages members of the community to receive information on health issues and to take advantage of the free screenings. Translators will be available.

The Free Heart Care Awareness Fair will be held on Saturday, February 27 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. at the Wellness Connection, 874 Purchase Street, New Bedford. Medication reviews by Walgreens will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
