GNBCHC presenting seminars on benefits available to senior citizens

The Greater New Bedford Community Health Center is presenting a series of seminars which are intended to inform the community and the Health Center staff about the benefits which are available to the people that we serve.

The first series covers benefits which are available to senior citizens. Mary Bessey, Shine Counselor, discusses prescription plans that seniors can choose from and Delia DeMello discusses Social Security benefits. The series will continue with presentations by Senior Whole Health on how elders can advocate for themselves during a doctor’s appointment and staff members from Coastline Elderly will present their programs benefitting seniors.

The videos of the presentations will be available on the Health Center website and on various cable access channels throughout the area.
