Greater New Bedford Community Health Center Recognizes Outstanding Employees in Awards Ceremony
Each year staff members from the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center nominate fellow workers to be recognized as outstanding employees. Winners from the nominated group are then selected by the Board of Directors. Recommendations are based on several reasons including respect and sensitivity toward patients, cooperation and team work with staff, creativity and innovation for improving the work place, and leadership and organizational skills. The Award Ceremony was held on August 10 to honor the employees and to celebrate National Community Health Center Week. The theme of the ceremony held at the Whaling Museum, was “You Have A Friend.” Rose Yates, Board Chair, and Board members presented the honorees. Those recognized this year include the nurse known for her respect and compassion for patients especially the difficult ones, the medical assistant who calms the patients and makes them feel comfortable, the doctor described as caring and dedicated to her patients, the department manager who referred to the staff as family and said “I honor you, the men and women of the Health Center”, and the security officer who is committed to “making the Health Center the safest place it can be for employees and patients.” Congratulations and thanks go to:
