Greater New Bedford Community Health Center Recognizes Outstanding Employees in Awards Ceremony

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - Each year staff members from the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center nominate fellow workers to be recognized as outstanding employees. Winners from the nominated group are then selected by the Board of Directors. Recommendations are based on several reasons including respect and sensitivity toward patients, cooperation and team work with staff, creativity and innovation for improving the work place, and leadership and organizational skills.

The Award Ceremony was held on September 27 in the Health Center’s Auditorium. Rose Yates, Board Chair, and Board members presented the honorees. Those recognized this year include a dental hygienist known for her compassion for patients, the maintenance man who is the first to offer help, the medical assistant described as selfless and compassionate, the interpreter/translator who is “thankful for being able to work in a place I can be proud of”, and the patient registration representative known for her kindness and respect for patients.
